How to Export a Production-Ready PDF in Motif

If you’re using the Motif app on your Mac, you can create a production-ready PDF of your photo project. This is helpful for keeping a high-quality backup of your design, or for uploading to order later using our import site.

Important: Using the Correct Method

Motif offers a standard Export PDF option in its menu, but this generates a low-resolution file meant only for reviewing your project. It is not suitable for production or printing.

To save a full production-ready PDF, follow the steps below.


How to Create a Production-Ready PDF in Motif

  1. Open your project in the Motif app on your Mac.

  2. Press and hold the keys:
    Shift + Option + Command

  3. While still holding these keys, click the product price (checkout) button.

  4. Motif will then generate and save a production-ready PDF of your project directly to your computer.

You can locate this PDF in your default downloads or chosen save location. This file can be used to reorder or print through our import site, or simply kept as a high-quality backup.
