Changing Your Mimeo Photos or Motif Account Email Address

At this time, it is not possible to change the email address associated with your Mimeo Photos or Motif account. Your order history and web-based projects are directly tied to the email address used when the account was created.

Why Can't We Change Account Emails?

Our system links web based projects and order history to your original account email. Because of this integration, there is currently no process in place to transfer projects or link order history from one email to another.

What To Do If You Need a Different Email:

If you want to use a new email address, you’ll need to create a new account using that email.

To create a new account, visit mimeophotos.com, sign up with your new email, and log in to begin creating projects online.

If you're using the Mimeo Photos Mac app, you can sign in with your new email by clicking the avatar icon in the lower-right corner of the app. For Motif, simply sign in with the new email during checkout.

Note: To ensure that any upcoming orders placed in the Mimeo Photos app are properly linked to your new account and appear in your order history, make sure you sign into the app with your new email before placing an order.

What Happens to My Existing Projects?

  • Mac App Projects (Mimeo Photos or Motif):

    Projects created inside the Photos app or within the Mimeo Photos/Motif Mac apps are stored locally on your device. They will not be deleted if you create a new account. Simply log into your new account in the app to continue creating or ordering projects.

  • Web Projects:

    Projects created on the Mimeo Photos website and iOS app are tied directly to your account online. Because they’re web-based, they work a bit differently from projects made in the Mac app. 

How to Preserve Projects for Reordering

If you anticipate needing additional copies of projects tied to your old account:

  • Web projects cannot be exported directly.
    However, if you’ve already placed an order for a web project, Support can provide a PDF copy upon request.  Available only for orders placed after December 2023.

  • Use the Import Site to reorder projects using those PDFs in the future.
