What to Do If Your Photo Project Fails to Upload

We know how much work goes into your photo project. If your upload appears frozen, is taking longer than expected, or you never received an order confirmation email, your upload likely did not complete. Follow the steps below to get your order placed successfully.

Quick check: Search your inbox and spam folder for a confirmation email from Mimeo Photos. If you find one, your order went through and no action is needed.

Why uploads fail

Uploads can fail or stall due to:

A weak, slow, or interrupted internet connection
Your computer going to sleep or powering off mid-upload
Large projects with many photos (these can take up to 10 minutes)
Canceling the upload before it finishes

Note: Our app displays "Downloading images" during this step, but it is actually uploading your project to our system for processing.

About pending charges

If your upload did not complete, your order will not be processed and no charge will be finalized. You may see a pending charge on your payment method, but this is an uncaptured authorization that your bank will automatically release within a few days. Each upload attempt can generate a new pending charge, but none will be captured unless your order is successfully submitted. Our team monitors failed uploads and will cancel any unprocessed transactions on our end.

How to fix a failed upload:

Step 1: Check your internet connection. Make sure you are on a stable, strong connection. Avoid switching networks or uploading over spotty Wi-Fi.

Step 2: Keep your computer awake. Do not allow your computer to sleep or shut down while uploading. For large projects, allow up to 10 minutes for the upload to finish. If your computer restarts or you cancel the upload, you will need to start over from the beginning.

Step 3: Try the PDF upload option. If your project continues to fail, uploading a PDF is a reliable alternative that bypasses the standard upload process entirely.
